13 Claims

1. A pre-mixed composition for manufacture of paper, board, or tissue, wherein the pre-mixed composition comprises:

0.5-15 weight % of an amphoteric polymer component, which is net cationic at pH 7 and has a weight average molecular weight of at least 600 000 g/mol, and

85-99.5 weight % of at least one synthetic cationic polymer component, which is a copolymer of a polyamidoamine having a weight average molecular weight≤550 000 g/mol and a dispersity index more than 15 calculated from the total dry weight of the amphoteric polymer component and the synthetic cationic polymer component, wherein the amphoteric polymer component is obtained by polymerisation of at least one non-ionic monomer, at least one cationic monomer, and at least one anionic monomer, wherein the at least one non-ionic monomer is (meth)acrylamide.
