1. A method for producing a motor fuel, comprising:
telomerizing ethylene and an alcohol mixture comprising ethanol under suitable conditions to form a mixture comprising C5-C8 alcohols;
dehydrating the mixture comprising the C5-C8 alcohols to form a mixture comprising C5-C8 olefins;
oligomerizing the C5-C8 olefins to form C10-C24 olefins;
hydrogenating the C10-C24 olefins to form C10-C24 paraffins; and
isolating a fraction of the C10-C24 paraffins.
