16. A method comprising: positioning a plurality of sensors outside a conductor, wherein each of the plurality of sensors is configured to record a voltage based on an electromagnetic field generated by a current inside the conductor; measuring a data set based on the recorded voltages; determining a plurality of positions each associated with a position of one of the plurality of sensors; determining an estimated voltage at each of the plurality of positions based on a voltage spatial model of the electromagnetic field; and suppressing artifacts in the data set based on the estimated voltages; wherein suppressing the artifacts in the recorded voltages comprises: splitting the data set into a projected data set and a residual data set by projecting the data set based on the estimated voltages; matching waveforms in the data set or the projected data set to waveforms in the residual data set; and removing matched waveforms from the data set or the projected data set.
