1. A musical instrument, comprising
a key selection receiver operable to receive a user selection of a selected key, and
a note player operable to produce individual notes in the selected key,
the note player having a plurality of note playing finger regions arranged on a playing surface in a splayed orientation in correspondence with fingers of a hand,
wherein a layout of the individual notes playable by each of the finger regions of the note player corresponds to a selected chord, in which three finger regions of the note player correspond to a root note, a third note, and a fifth note of the selected chord in the selected key,
wherein with a selected key, the note player is operable to provide appropriate notes to the finger positions for the selected key, such that, while accessing different notes, a user's fingers remain relatively positioned in respective finger positions on the note player, and
wherein when the selected key changes, the appropriate notes change for each of the finger positions while the user's fingers remain relatively positioned in the respective finger positions on the note player.
