1. A method for reducing power consumption and improving secure operation of an Automated Teller Machine (“ATM”), the method comprising:
using an image sensor to detect objects within a threshold distance of the ATM;
in response to detecting a threshold number of objects, activating a Graphic Processing Unit (“GPU”) on the ATM;
for a time-window after detecting the threshold number of objects, processing the objects within the threshold distance of the ATM using the GPU;
based on the processing, limiting functionality of the ATM; and
before activating the GPU, processing the objects detected within the threshold distance of the ATM using a Central Processing Unit (“CPU”).
