1. A method of purifying an alpha-olefin, wherein impurities are removed by a combination of
molded activated carbon having a specific surface area of 1,200 m2/g or more, an average particle diameter of 0.8 to 40 mm, and a pore volume of more than 0.6 cm3/g as measured by a nitrogen adsorption method, in which pores having a pore diameter of 2 nm or more account for 60% or more of total pores; and
an alumina-zeolite composite.
