1. A flight display comprising:
a display screen configured to display a plurality of images representing avionics data;
a physical network interface; and
a plurality of processors communicatively coupled by an inter-processor communication bus, wherein one of the plurality of processors receives the avionics data and executes a display function causing the display screen to display the plurality of images, wherein at least some of the plurality of processors execute a plurality of automatic flight control system functions causing the flight display to send a command by way of the physical network interface, wherein each of the at least some of the plurality of processors separately execute at least one of the plurality of automatic flight control system functions;
wherein the flight display is a line replaceable unit configured to interface with a flight deck of an aircraft by the physical network interface; wherein the command causes at least one actuator communicatively coupled to the flight display by way of the physical network interface to adjust at least one of a flight control surface or a throttle of the aircraft;
wherein the plurality of automatic flight control system functions executed by the plurality of processors include a flight guidance function, an autopilot function, a yaw damper function, a trim function, an auto-throttle function, a flight control system monitor function, a stall warning function, and a stall protection function.
