1. A power network for a motor vehicle, comprising:
a first partial power network, connected to a supply potential, the first partial power network being not relevant to safety in operating the motor vehicle in road traffic;
a second partial power network relevant to the safety and not redundant with the first partial power network; and
a coupling element to couple the second partial power network to the supply potential via the first partial power network, the coupling element including a reversible disconnect function such that the coupling element is configured to reversibly decouple the first partial power network from the second partial power network, based on a physical value of the first partial power network.
