1. An inspiratory tube comprising:
an annular corrugation profile, wherein the annular corrugation profile comprises alternating outer crests and inner troughs, wherein the inner troughs are flat and each of the outer crests are wider than each of the inner troughs;
an internal spiral heater wire provided in a lumen of the inspiratory tube;
an outer sheath disposed about an exterior surface of the inspiratory tube, wherein the outer sheath is heat bonded to the outer crests of the inspiratory tube from a first end of the inspiratory tube to a second end of the inspiratory tube using an extrusion process, and wherein the outer sheath comprises alternating outer crests and inner troughs;
a first connector at the first end of the inspiratory tube, the first connector configured to connect to a patient interface; and
a second connector at the second end of the inspiratory tube, the second connector configured to connect to an outlet of a humidifier; and
wherein the inspiratory tube has a pitch of between 3.53 mm and 4.50 mm.
