1. A bone plate comprising:
a plate body that defines a bone-facing body surface and an outer body surface opposite the bone-facing body surface, wherein the bone plate defines a pair of threaded bone-anchor apertures that each extends through the plate body from the outer body surface to the bone-facing body surface, and the bone plate further defines additional first and second threaded bone-anchor apertures that extend through the plate body from the outer body surface to the bone-facing body surface, and
first and second tabs each having a respective flexible arm that extends out from the plate body, and a respective head supported by the respective flexible arm, wherein 1) the first tab has only a single first tab aperture, and the single first tab aperture extends through the respective head of the first tab, 2) the second tab has only a single second tab aperture, and the single second tab aperture extends through the respective head of the second tab, and 3) each of the single first tab aperture and the second tab aperture is configured to receive a respective bone anchor;
a third aperture that extends through the plate body from the outer body surface to the bone-facing body surface, the third aperture disposed such that 1) a first one of the pair of threaded bone-anchor apertures is offset in its entirety from the third aperture in a first direction, 2) a second one of the pair of threaded bone-anchor apertures is offset in its entirety from the third aperture in a second direction opposite the first direction, 3) each of the first and second threaded bone-anchor apertures are offset in their respective entireties from the third aperture in a third direction perpendicular to each of the first and second directions, and 4) the first and second single tab apertures are the only through holes of the bone plate that are offset in their respective entireties from the third aperture in a fourth direction opposite the third direction,
wherein the pair of threaded bone-anchor apertures and the first and second threaded bone-anchor apertures extend through the plate body along respective central axes, and the each of the pair of threaded bone-anchor apertures is enlarged with respect to each of the first and second threaded bone-anchor apertures along respective directions perpendicular to the respective central axes.
