1. A method comprising, by a first edge device:
joining a wireless peer-to-peer network, wherein the first edge device is not connected to an access point of a wireless infrastructure network, and wherein the wireless infrastructure network comprises a plurality of access points;
collecting network data associated with the first edge device;
receiving, from one or more second edge devices, through the wireless peer-to-peer network, network data associated with the one or more second edge devices;
selecting a first access point among the plurality of access points to connect based on the network data collected by the first edge device and the network data received from the one or more second edge devices; and
sending a connection establishment request to the first access point.
