1. An integrated circuit for a user equipment (UE) for transmitting and/or receiving data to/from a base station in a communication system, the integrated circuit comprising:
receiving circuitry, which, in operation, receives, from the base station, a first indication of an offset with respect to a starting location of paging information within a paging region and a second indication; and
control circuitry, which, in operation,
determines, based on the first indication of the offset, resources of the paging information for paging the UE, the offset indicating a frequency position indicative of locations of the resources of the paging information within the paging region, and
determines, based on the second indication, an ordinal value of a location of a synchronization signal block (SSB) in a synchronization bitmap.
