1. A communication device comprising:
a first transceiver configured to communicate on a first frequency band that is an unlicensed band;
a second transceiver configured to communicate on a second frequency band that is an unlicensed band different from the unlicensed band of the first frequency band; and
a controller configured to perform control operations for controlling a transmission via either the first frequency band or the second frequency band,
wherein the control operations comprise:
transmitting a notification to a base station of traffic handled by the communication device;
based on the notification, receiving, from the base station, information regarding one or more time resources on the second frequency band assigned to the communication device;
determining whether data for transmission has been generated;
upon determining that the data for transmission has been generated, determining whether there is a first time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band capable of transmitting the data earlier than a transmission on the first frequency band,
upon determining that there is the first time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band that is capable of transmitting the data earlier than a transmission on the first frequency band, begin transmitting the data via the first time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band,
upon determining that there is not any time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band that is capable of transmitting the data earlier than a transmission on the first frequency band, starting a process to obtain a transmission opportunity on the first frequency band based on a predetermined collision avoidance process,
wherein the process to obtain the transmission opportunity on the first frequency band comprises:
based on the predetermined collision avoidance process, determining whether it is necessary to suppress a transmission of the data via the first frequency band;
upon determining that determine it is necessary to suppress the transmission of the data via the first frequency band, determining whether there is a second time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band capable of transmitting the data earlier than a transmission on the first frequency band that includes a corresponding suppression period; and
upon determining that there is the second time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band that is capable of transmitting the data earlier than the transmission on the first frequency band that includes a corresponding suppression period, begin transmitting the data via the second time resource of the one or more time resources on the second frequency band.
