1. A wireless communication system comprising:
a first coupler having a first pair of electrodes extending in a predetermined direction;
a second coupler having a second pair of electrodes;
a transmission circuit configured to apply a differential signal to the first coupler; and
a reception circuit configured to receive a differential signal output from the second coupler based on electromagnetic coupling between the first coupler and the second coupler,
wherein the first electrode pair has a first electrode and a second electrode,
the second electrode pair has a third electrode at least partially opposed to the first electrode, and a fourth electrode at least partially opposed to the second electrode,
in a plane perpendicular to the predetermined direction, the width of the third electrode is smaller than the width of the first electrode, and the width of the fourth electrode is smaller than the width of the second electrode, and
a distance between the third electrode and the fourth electrode in a direction of the width is greater than a distance between the first electrode and the second electrode in the direction of the width, and
the first coupler or the second coupler has a mechanism that allows the first coupler and the second coupler to move relative to each other in the predetermined direction.
