1. An apparatus for converting frequency of signals, comprising:
a first switch having (i) a first input terminal configured to receive a first input signal, (ii) a first output terminal, and (iii) a second output terminal, wherein the first switch is configured to couple the first input terminal to either the first output terminal or the second output terminal;
a mixer circuit coupled to the second output terminal of the first switch, wherein in response the first switch coupling the first input terminal to the second output terminal, the mixer circuit is configured to mix the first input signal to a second input signal, to generate a modified input signal;
a filter circuit comprising a plurality of programmable filters, the filter circuit configured to receive the modified input signal and output a filtered signal; and
a second switch having (i) a second input terminal coupled to the first output terminal of the first switch, (ii) a third input terminal coupled to an output of the filter circuit, and (iii) a third output terminal, wherein the second switch is configured to couple the third output terminal to either of the second input terminal or the third input terminal.
