1. A battery module comprising:
a plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries arranged in parallel to each other, each pouch type secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly, and a receiving portion configured to receive the electrode assembly and a pouch exterior;
a plate arranged under the plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries to support the plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries; and
a thermally conductive adhesive between the plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries and the plate,
wherein the plate includes a plurality of recesses respectively separated by a distance, and
wherein each of the plurality of recesses receives at least one of a portion of the pouch exterior and a portion of the thermally conductive adhesive,
wherein the plate further includes a plurality of protrusions protruding toward the plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries starting from bottoms of the plurality of recesses,
wherein the plurality of protrusions are respectively located to separate the plurality of recesses that are adjacent to each other, and
wherein a shape of a top surface of each of the plurality of protrusions is same as a shape of a bottom surface of each of the plurality of recesses.
