1. A capacitor comprising a pair of electrodes and an electrolyte, wherein at least one of the electrodes contains a metal complex or an adduct thereof and a carbon material which are represented by the following expression (1) or (2),

(In the expression,

M is a metal atom,

D¹to D²⁸are each independently a nitrogen atom, a sulfur atom, or a carbon atom, and

if D¹to D²⁸are carbon atoms, the carbon atoms may each be independently bonded to a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an alkoxy group, or an alkylthio group).
