1. An apparatus for implementing adaptive variable refresh (AVR), the apparatus comprising:
a graphics processing unit (GPU) configured to generate a display content;
a display processing unit (DPU) coupled to the graphics processing unit (GPU), the DPU configured to provide an adaptive variable refresh (AVR) feature and further configured to use the AVR feature to enable a transition to a higher display refresh rate based on a calculated timing margin with a zero cadence deviation; and
a display panel coupled to the DPU, the display panel configured to display the display content.
