1. A method comprising:
imaging a first graybody with a focal plane array (FPA) that is sensitive to thermal infrared, wherein the first graybody has a first emissivity;
imaging a second graybody having a second emissivity lower than the first emissivity; and
using data captured while imaging the first and second graybodies to perform nonuniformity correction (NUC) of the FPA;
wherein imaging the first graybody and imaging the second graybody are performed at a temperature at which blackbody radiation peaks in the thermal infrared.
