15. A method comprising:
disposing a downhole tool into a wellbore, wherein the downhole tool comprises:
a digital control system;
a transceiver configured to emit a pressure pulse;
a transmitter module configured to transmit an excitation signal;
a high voltage protection module with a first resistor and a second resistor that are in parallel connected to the transmitter module;
a muting module connected to the high voltage protection module;
a receiver connected to the muting module; and
an analog to digital converter;
transmitting the excitation signal from the transmitter module to the transceiver as a high voltage pulse signal to the high voltage protection module;
reducing the high voltage pulse signal with the high voltage protection module; and
preventing saturation of the receiver with a low impedance interface from the muting module.
