6. A method of assembling a wireline assembly, comprising:
a. disposing the wireline assembly comprising a wireline cable and a plurality of fins into a borehole;
b. placing two parts of a cable insert around the wireline cable, wherein the cable insert comprises an anti-rotation spigot;
c. securing the two parts of the cable insert to each other;
d. placing a pair of opposing assemblies around the cable insert, wherein each of the opposing assemblies comprises a half shell, wherein the half shell comprises a front portion and a rear portion which are connected by a middle portion, wherein the front portion and the rear portion have a conical shape and the middle portion has a cylindrical shape, and further wherein the cable insert comprises two parts, wherein each part of the cable insert is shaped in a hollow, half-cylinder, such that the cable insert parts form a uniform internal diameter matched to a diameter of the wireline cable, and further wherein each of the plurality of external fins is coupled to one of the half shells, and further wherein each of the plurality of external fins is in the shape of an arch that spans at least a portion of one of the half shells, and further wherein the plurality of external fins are distributed radially along the length of the half shells and each external fin comprises a smooth radial cross section;
e. securing the pair of opposing assemblies to each other; and
f. repeating steps (b) through (f) at a different location on the wireline cable;
wherein each of the half shells comprises a through passageway having an inner wall, wherein the inner wall comprises a cut out, wherein a protrusion extends from the inner wall.
