1. A rotating separator comprising:
a housing extending axially along a longitudinal axis, the housing including an inlet configured to receive a contaminate-containing fluid and an outlet;
a central shaft positioned within the housing and aligned with the longitudinal axis;
a rotating first filter element core surrounding the central shaft and arranged along the longitudinal axis, rotation of the rotating first filter element core resulting in coalescing of aerosol droplets from the contaminate-containing fluid;
a rotating second filter element core surrounding the central shaft and arranged along the longitudinal axis, rotation of the rotating second filter element core resulting in coalescing of aerosol droplets from the contaminate-containing fluid, the rotating second filter element core axially spaced from the rotating first filter element core such that the rotating first filter element core and the rotating second filter element core define an interior cavity therebetween, the interior cavity in contaminate-containing fluid communication with the inlet; and
wherein the rotating first filter element core and the rotating second filter element core each include an upstream side in contaminate-containing fluid communication with the interior cavity such that contaminate-containing fluid flows in parallel through the rotating first filter element core and the rotating second filter element core.
