1. A method of calculating a scaled virtual grid for x-ray projection images, the method comprising
providing at least a first co-registered x-ray projection image of an anatomy of a patient and a second co-registered x-ray projection image of the anatomy of the patient,
defining at least two points of the anatomy in 3-D space and determining 3-D coordinates of the at least two points thereby using the first co-registered x-ray projection image and the second co-registered x-ray projection image,
calculating the scaled virtual grid based on the determined 3-D coordinates of the at least two points, and
projecting and displaying the calculated scaled virtual grid to a user on an x-ray projection image.
