1. A method of disinfecting comprising:
wiping a surface with a wipe comprising:
a disinfectant composition having a pH below 5 and consisting essentially of an aqueous solution of an acid anionic disinfectant selected from the group of linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid, dodecylsulfonic acid, lauryl sulfonic acid, sulfonated oleic acid, and mixtures thereof and optionally one or more additives selected from the group of fragrance, dye, emollient, UV light protecting agents, insect repellency agents, and souring agents; and
a polyester microfiber substrate that is substantially free of polyamides;
wherein the wipe releases an amount of disinfectant composition on the surface sufficient to kill viruses or bacteria within 30 seconds of contact and the substrate is not pretreated before the disinfectant composition is added to it.
