1. An apparatus, comprising:
a processor configured to cause a user equipment device (UP to:
establish communication with a base station;
determine a first number of reference signal resources that the UE is capable of processing during an amount of time for a beam management measurement using a second number of ports, wherein the first number of reference signal resources is determined based on a function of the second number of ports and is different than a third number of reference signal resources that the UE is capable of processing during the amount of time for the beam management measurement using a single port;
transmit, to the base station, an indication of the first number of reference signal resources;
receive, from the base station, configuration information for the beam management measurement using the second number of ports;
receive, from the base station, a reference signal using the second number of ports; and
perform the beam management measurement based on the reference signal.
