A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, comprising a face authentication administrating program, the face authentication administrating program comprising instructions which, when executed by a server device, cause the server device to carry out a method for registration of face feature amount data, the method being performed by the server device to perform a face authentication process based on face image data acquired by imaging a person to be verified, wherein
the server device includes a face management server and a plurality of face matching servers, and is connected to one or more face authentication machines, each face matching server including a face matching database, each face authentication machine comprising a camera for imaging persons to be verified,
the method comprising:
storing and accumulating, by the face management server, face image data of each user in association with a matching group corresponding to an organization to which the user belongs; and
generating, upon receiving a request for registration of a user from the face management server, by each face matching server, face feature amount data from face image data of the user, and registering the generated face feature amount data in association with the matching group in the face matching database,
upon acquiring the face image data of the person to be verified from one of the plurality of face authentication machines, each face matching server performs a matching operation between face feature amount data of registered users stored separately for respective matching groups and face feature amount data generated from the face image data of the person to be verified, and
when face feature amount data of a plurality of registered users belonging to a same matching group is to be registered in two or more face matching databases and associated with the same matching group and the two or more of the face matching databases include a first matching database and a second matching database which are included in a first face matching server and a second face matching server, respectively, upon receiving a request for registration of the plurality of registered users, the first face matching server registers the face feature amount data of the plurality of registered users in the first face matching database, and upon receiving a transfer instruction from the face management server, the first face matching server copies and transfers the face feature amount data of the plurality of registered users in batch from the first face matching database to the second face matching server, and in response, the second face matching server registers the transferred face feature amount data in the second face matching database thereby enabling registration of the face feature amount data in two or more face matching servers.
