1. A display device comprising:
a substrate;
a plurality of pixels disposed over the substrate, each of the plurality of pixels comprising a first electrode electrically connected to a thin film transistor and a second electrode opposing the first electrode;
a conductive line disposed outside a perimeter of the plurality of pixels;
a planarization layer disposed between the thin film transistor and the first electrode, the planarization layer comprising a center portion that overlaps a second edge of the conductive line, a dam portion comprising substantially a same material as the center portion that overlaps a first edge of the conductive line and is disposed outside the center portion with a first spacing area disposed therebetween, and an outer portion comprising substantially the same material as the dam portion and disposed outside the dam portion with a second spacing area disposed therebetween;
a protection layer disposed between the thin film transistor and the planarization layer and having a first portion disposed between the dam portion and the first edge of the conductive line and a second portion disposed between the center portion and the second edge of the conductive line;
an inorganic insulating layer disposed between the substrate and the protection layer; and
an encapsulation layer disposed over the second electrode, the encapsulation layer comprising a first inorganic layer, a second inorganic layer in direct contact with the first inorganic layer from;
over the dam portion to a region outside the dam portion, and an organic layer disposed between the first inorganic layer and the second inorganic layer from over the plurality of pixels to the dam portion,
wherein the protection layer extends to the outer portion, and in an entire area where the outer portion and the protection layer overlap each other, a lower surface of the outer portion is in direct contact with the protection layer, and the protection layer is in direct contact with the inorganic insulating laver.
