1. A method of operating a wireless communication network to provide a wireless communication service to a User Equipment (UE) responsive to an Application Server (AS) that is external to the wireless communication network, the method comprising:
a Network Exposure Function (NEF) receiving a Radio Access Network (RAN) instruction from the AS that is external to the wireless communication network, wherein the RAN instruction controls the wireless communication service for the UE;
the NEF transferring the RAN instruction to the RAN;
the RAN receiving the RAN instruction, and in response, delivering the wireless communication service to the UE based on the RAN instruction from the AS;
the RAN transferring RAN information that characterizes the RAN delivery of the wireless communication service to the UE based on the RAN instruction from the AS; and
the NEF receiving the RAN information, and in response, transferring the RAN information to the AS that is external to the wireless communication network, wherein the RAN information characterizes the RAN delivery of the wireless communication service to the UE based on the RAN instruction from the AS.
