6. A method, comprising:
receiving, at a configurable software-defined hub, a pairing initiation signal to connect the configurable software-defined hub with at least one node of one or more configurable software-defined nodes;
receiving, from the at least one node, a plurality of node identifiers;
authorizing the at least one node based on a comparison of the plurality of node identifiers and identifier data stored in a memory of the configurable software-defined hub;
securely pairing the configurable software-defined hub with at least one authorized node;
configuring a software-defined transceiver chain comprising a configurable hub transmitter and an authorized node receiver with a modified Logical Link Control (LLC) layer and an unmodified Media Access Control (MAC) layer of an Open System Interconnect (OSI) protocol; and
communicating data in a predetermined format from the configurable hub transmitter to the authorized node receiver.
