1. A video recording manager device comprising:
a communication connection to one or more cameras associated with the video recording manager device, the communication connection configured to receive triggering-event-related video data from the one or more cameras;
a controller configured to control one or more video recording parameters;
a first storage medium storing the triggering-event-related video data received from the one or more cameras, the triggering-event-related video data including at least a portion stored in a circular storage buffer of the first storage medium that is recorded prior to receiving a triggering event indication and authentication metadata associated with the triggering event indication for authenticating the triggering-event-related video data,
wherein the triggering event indication is provided by one or more sensors in response to the one or more sensors detecting a trigger,
wherein the one or more sensors are communicatively coupled to the video recording manager device and comprise a humidity sensor, and
wherein the authentication metadata comprises proximity tag data associated with a proximity tag reader; and
a wireless transceiver configured to transmit the triggering-event-related video data including the authentication metadata over a wireless network to a second storage medium.
