1. A method comprising:
receiving a request for episode metadata corresponding to an episode;
determining that the episode metadata includes one or more dynamic segments;
determining that a dynamic-segments database does not contain dynamic-segment metadata associated with the one or more dynamic segments;
causing one or more dynamic-segments transformers to resolve the one or more dynamic segments, thereby obtaining the dynamic segment metadata associated with the one or more dynamic segments;
injecting the obtained dynamic-segment metadata into the episode metadata; and
providing, to a client device associated with the request, the requested episode metadata including the injected dynamic-segment metadata.
