1. An authentication method comprising:
receiving, from an application in communication with an authentication server, an authentication request associated with a user;
transmitting an authentication input field to the application, the authentication input field comprising two or more fields;
generating, by the authentication server, an authentication token to authenticate the user on the application;
partitioning the authentication token to create a first token portion and a second token portion;
determining a priority order based on the probability that the user is in possession of each of two or more devices;
determining, based on the priority order, that the first user device has a higher priority than the second user device;
transmitting the first token portion to the first user device and the second token portion to the second user device;
receiving, from the application, a receipt of the first token portion and the second token portion input in the authentication input field; and
transmitting instructions to the application to authenticate the user.
