1. A method of configuring uplink sounding signal transmissions, performed by a base station in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
determining, for a given mobile terminal, different sets of configuration parameters for uplink sounding signal transmission, each set of configuration parameters comprising a priority, one or more frequency-domain parameters, and one or more time-domain parameters, wherein the one or more time-domain parameters comprise:
a time offset, in number of subframes, of a sounding signal; and/or
a position of the sounding signal within a subframe; and
transmitting the different sets of configuration parameters to the mobile terminal, thereby configuring the mobile terminal to generate different sounding signals and use the priorities to select from among the different sets of configuration parameters in response to a sounding signal transmission collision.
