1. An apparatus comprising:
a blending alpha calculation circuit configured to generate a blending alpha value based on a normalized gradient corresponding to a plurality of gradients associated with one or more pixel components of a set of pixels of an image, wherein the normalized gradient is generated based on a low-pass filtered gradient of the one or more pixel components divided by a maximum gradient of the one or more pixel components; and
a blend circuit configured to blend filtering of the set of pixels between a plurality of filters based on the blending alpha value, wherein subsequent to filtering a filtered version of the set of pixels is driven to a display.
