16 Claims

1. A method of producing lithium carbonate comprising:

contacting a solid lithium precursor comprising lithium hydroxide with a gas comprising at least 5 wt. % carbon dioxide, thereby converting at least a portion of the solid lithium precursor to lithium carbonate.
