1. A method for planning a locally selective irradiation of a working area with a plurality of energy beams by displacing the plurality of energy beams along a plurality of irradiation vectors over a powder material layer of a powder material arranged in the working area, the method comprising:
assigning an energy beam of the plurality of energy beams to at least one test vector, the test vector comprising at least one irradiation vector of the plurality of irradiation vectors and representing a linear displacement of the energy beam over a distance in a displacement direction, wherein the assigning the energy beam to the at least one test vector is based on whether the test vector crosses a predefined borderline or a predefined overlap area in the working area, wherein the predefined borderline separates a first irradiation area from a second irradiation area of a plurality of irradiation areas, the predefined borderline being arranged in the predefined overlap area, and
obtaining an irradiation plan based on the assigning the energy beam of the plurality of energy beams.
