1. A spinal fixation system comprising:
a spinal rod;
a bone anchor configured to receive the spinal rod therein;
a guide assembly configured to releasably engage a housing of the bone anchor for guiding the spinal rod into the housing; and
a reducer configured to seat the spinal rod in the housing of the bone anchor, wherein the reducer comprises a connector configured to releasably engage the guide assembly,
wherein the connector comprises a connector body having a guide cavity configured to receive a proximal end of the guide assembly therein at a distal end of the connector, and a lock configured to prevent translation of the guide assembly relative to the connector body,
wherein the lock comprises a ridge extending through the connector body into the guide cavity and dimensioned to engage a groove of the guide assembly,
wherein the ridge comprises a tapered surface configured to cause the proximal end of the guide assembly to push past the lock from a distal end of the connector body until the ridge engages with the groove.
