1. A method of local misbehavior message filtering performed by a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) processing device, comprising:
receiving a V2X message from an intelligent transportation system (ITS) station;
analyzing information in the received V2X message to detect misbehavior conditions in the V2X message;
adding a station identifier associated with the V2X message received from the ITS station to a local blocking list in response to detecting a misbehavior condition in the V2X message received from the ITS station;
determining a blocking time period during which V2X messages associated with the station identifier are blocked from further processing based on a type of misbehavior associated with the station identifier that is present in the local blocking list; and
blocking the V2X messages associated with the station identifier from further processing for the blocking time period.
