1. A method for producing metal nanoparticles, the method comprising:
spraying and drying a mixture to form metal nanoparticles, the mixture containing a metal salt and at least one solvent selected from alcohols having 1 or more and 5 or less carbon atoms;
wherein the metal salt is at least one selected from hexachloroplatinic (IV) acid hexahydrate (H2PtCl6·6H2O), tetraamminedichloroplatinum, and platinum bromide (IV) (PtBr4),
wherein the atmospheric temperature during spraying is 10° C. or higher and 80° C. or lower,
wherein the concentration of the metal salt is 0.1 mol·L−1 or more and 50 mol·L−1 or less, and
wherein the metal nanoparticles have an average particle diameter of 0.7 nm or more and less than 2 nm.
