1. An auxiliary power system for a vehicle, comprising:
an engine;
a generator configured to convert mechanical energy from the engine to electrical energy; and
a battery charging circuit configured to:
receive the electrical energy from the generator;
generate battery charging output power from the electrical energy from the generator in a plurality of battery charging modes, wherein the battery charging circuit is coupled to a battery and configured to charge the battery, and coupled to a crane to power the crane;
generate the battery charging output power to charge the battery according to a first, second, or third battery charging mode of the plurality of modes; and
generate the battery charging output power to power the crane according to the first battery charging mode.
