1. A wireless communication control apparatus that includes control circuitry for controlling a wireless transceiver included in a wireless communication apparatus and that serves as an access point (AP) of a wireless local area network (LAN), the wireless communication apparatus configured with a Basic Service Set (BSS) and an Overlap Basic Service Set (OBSS) and belonging to a station (STA), the wireless communication apparatus comprising:
wherein the control circuitry is configured to:
receive, from the STA, a first signal including information regarding a frequency band in the OBSS that corresponds to a channel of another device,
wherein the channel of another device is one of a primary or a secondary channel of the another device,
wherein the first signal further comprises an announce type having a value selected from a predetermined set of values;
determine whether or not the selected value indicates that the first signal is from the STA to which the AP belongs;
upon determining that the selected value indicates that the first signal is from the STA to which the AP belongs, determine a frequency band of the BSS on a basis of the information regarding the frequency band in the OBSS that corresponds to the channel of the another device; and
control the wireless transceiver to use the determined frequency band of the BSS as a channel to communicate on the wireless LAN,
wherein the determined frequency band of the BSS does not overlap with any frequency band in the OBSS that is used by the another device.
