1. A system, comprising:
a display device configured to display one or more scenes of a video media and a user interface, wherein the user interface comprises an input element for a judder angle spectrum; and
a computing device including a processor communicatively coupled to the display device, wherein the computing device is configured to execute instructions stored in non-transitory memory that, when executed, cause the processor to:
display a scene on the display device, wherein the scene comprises a plurality of input frames at an input framerate;
determine a selected judder angle via user input to the input element of the user interface, wherein the selected judder angle is selected for a judder level of the display device, wherein the display device is a reference display scenario;
adjust the selected judder angle based on brightness of a target display scenario, wherein the adjusted judder angle corresponds to a judder level of the target display scenario for the brightness of the target display scenario and wherein the adjusted judder angle is determined based on a ratio between the judder level of the reference display scenario and the judder level of the target display scenario, wherein judder level is an amount of perceived judder and judder angle is a linear measure;
interpolate one or more frames for one or more of the plurality of input frames based on the adjusted judder angle, wherein the selected judder angle is selected via the input element of the user interface; and
display the scene with a perceived judder of the reference display scenario resulting from interpolation of one or more frames.
