18. A method, comprising:
placing, by a processing system including a processor, a wireless networking system in an operational state responsive to a determination that an integration and activation of a first module into the wireless networking system is error free, wherein the first module is a module that fulfills network specific functions;
receiving, by the processing system, an operational error code from an originating module that is part of the first module in the wireless networking system, wherein the operational error code has a format indicating a hierarchy of a module decomposition of the first module in the wireless networking system by listing in sequential order, in the operational error code, an identifier of the first module, an identifier of the originating module of the first module, and an identifier of an interface of the originating module, and wherein the operational error code specifies an error number identifying a problem; and
initiating, by the processing system, a corrective action based on the problem.
