1. An alternating current (AC) motor system, comprising:
a motor frame;
a rotor including a rotor shaft;
a stator including multi-phase AC stator windings;
a power inverter producing a multi-phase AC voltage coupled to the multi-phase AC stator windings; and
at least one ohmic connection between the rotor shaft and the motor frame including a conductive fluid;
a sealing ring sealably engaged at a first end with the rotor shaft and at a second end with the motor frame;
the conductive fluid;
wherein the conductive fluid occupies a gap between the first end of the sealing ring and the second end of the sealing ring; and
wherein the rotor shaft comprises a bolt threadedly engaged with a bore at an end of the rotor shaft, and wherein the sealing ring sealably engaged at the first end with the rotor shaft is sealably engaged with the bolt.
