1. A method for generating a higher resolution color image from lower resolution color images, said method comprising:
filtering a set of color images, wherein said filtering results in generation of a first color image, a second color image, a third color image, and a monochrome image;
up-sampling the first color image, the second color image, and the third color image to cause resolutions of each to match a resolution of the monochrome image; and
generating the higher resolution color image by combining the up-sampled images and the monochrome image.
