21. An authentication method comprising:
capturing, by a camera of a mobile device, a plurality of images of at least one real-world object within a field of view of the mobile device, the at least one real-world object comprising a multi-function print device providing a secure service, the secure service providing access to one or more functions of a multi-function print device;
displaying, on a display of the mobile device, at least a portion of the plurality of images;
in response to a user selecting an application of the mobile device, displaying, on the display of the mobile device, a virtual authentication lock and the portion of the plurality of images while the multi-function print device is within the field of view of the mobile device, the virtual authentication lock associated with the multi-function print device providing the secure service, the application configured to access the secure service of the multi-function print device;
capturing, by the camera or a display screen of the mobile device, one or more user interactions with the virtual authentication lock;
in response to the one or more user interactions corresponding to unlock interactions associated with the virtual authentication lock, displaying a security code on the display of the mobile device, the security code configured to authenticate the user to the application; and
in response to receiving the security code from the user, allowing the user to interact with the application.
