1. A lock apparatus, comprising:
an escutcheon;
a cam mechanism;
a lock mechanism having a locked state and an unlocked state;
a first spring urging the lock mechanism toward the locked state;
a movable component movably mounted relative to the escutcheon for rotation about an axis and axial movement along the axis;
a second spring engaged between the movable component and the lock mechanism; and
an actuator operable to rotate the movable component about the axis;
wherein the cam mechanism is configured to move the movable component axially in response to rotation of the movable component;
wherein the lock mechanism is configured to move between the locked state and the unlocked state in response to axial movement of the movable component; and
wherein the second spring is configured to transmit forces between the movable component and the lock mechanism to thereby urge the lock mechanism toward the unlocked state in response to a first axial movement of the movable component.
