1. An aluminum alloy consisting of
Si: 7.0 to 12.0% by mass,
Mn: 0.3 to 1.9% by mass,
Cr: 0.01 to 1.00% by mass,
Ca: 0.001 to 0.050% by mass, and
optionally one or more selected from a group consisting of Ti: 0.05 to 0.20% by mass, B: 0.005 to 0.100% by mass and Zr: 0.05 to 0.20% by mass,
with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities, and
the content of Mg in the unavoidable impurities being less than 0.3% by mass.
