1. A patient monitoring system comprising:
a first system comprising an arterial line configured to connect with a patient;
a second system comprising a non-invasive sensor configured to connect with the patient, said non-invasive sensor comprising:
a light emitter configured to emit energy into a tissue site of a patient; and
a detector configured to detect a response from the tissue site responsive to the emitted energy into the tissue site of the patient; and
one or more hardware processors configured to determine a plurality of hemoglobin concentration measurements continuously over time from the tissue site based on the detected response by the detector;
wherein the first system is configured to operate responsive to the continuous plurality of hemoglobin concentration measurement.
