1. A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a terminal, a configuration for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the configuration includes first information on resource blocks (RBs) for the PDCCH and second information on a number of symbols for the PDCCH;
transmitting, to the terminal, configurations for a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources, wherein each of the configurations includes third information on an RB for a PUCCH resource and fourth information on a number of symbols for the PUCCH resource;
transmitting, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI) based on the first information and the second information, wherein the DCI includes a resource indicator for indicating a PUCCH resource among the plurality of PUCCH resources;
transmitting, to the terminal, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH); and
receiving, from the terminal, uplink control information (UCI) including hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) information for the PDSCH, on the PUCCH resource indicated by the resource indicator.
